Underground Reliability Engineer

10 years technical maintenance experience maintaining UG hard rock mining equipment Sandvik / Cat / Epiroc.

Experience with equipment reliability analysis, maintenance systems, and failure investigations.

Direct experience with underground mobile equipment such as drills, loaders, trucks, bolters, and auxiliary support equipment.

Knowledge of reliability engineering principles, asset management, and maintenance best practices.

Proficiency with CMMS/EAM systems such as SAP, Oracle, JDE, Pronto, or similar platforms.

Experience using business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Power BI.

The Underground Reliability Engineer is responsible for improving the reliability, availability, and performance of underground mining equipment and infrastructure through data-driven analysis, failure elimination, and continuous improvement initiatives.

This role provides technical leadership to maintenance and operations teams by analyzing equipment performance, conducting root cause investigations, developing maintenance strategies, and implementing solutions that enhance safety, productivity, and asset life.

Lead and facilitate root cause failure analyses (RCFA) for critical mobile and fixed asset failures.

Identify recurring equipment issues and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve reliability and extend component life.

Analyze maintenance and operational data, including MTBF, MTTR, availability, utilization, and OEE metrics.

Develop, monitor, and continuously improve reliability strategies for underground mining fleets and supporting infrastructure.
