Requirements
University degree and/or college background in Education, Outdoor Experiential Education or related field/similar experience. Bachelor of Education degree considered an asset.
Superior written and oral communication skills with strong time management, project management, and organizational skills across multiple priorities and projects.
3+ years of experience working with children/youth of various abilities, preferably in an education and/or outdoor/camp setting.
Skilled in behaviour management and problem solving.
Ability to exercise good judgement and professionalism when interacting with schools and community groups.
Demonstrated excellence in program facilitation.
Responsibilities
The In-Community Program Specialist supports the planning, direction, implementation, and supervision of Tims Camps Community Programs which take place at schools and /or community group spaces in their designated region.
The In-Community Program Specialist is responsible for ensuring participants have a positive, high quality program experience for long term impact.
This role will ensure a focus on high quality program facilitation and delivery for maximum impact.
The In-Community Program Specialist role applies their knowledge of youth development, outdoor and experiential education, program quality systems, and demonstrated excellence in coaching and facilitation to provide direction, coaching and support to their direct reports and the youth we serve.
