Construction Surveyor – Tunneling

Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction surveying, with specific experience in tunnel surveying using SEM and TBM methods.

Proficiency in operating survey equipment such as total stations, GNSS receivers, and laser scanners.

Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant software.

Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to ensure precision and accuracy in all survey data.

The SEM/TBM Surveyor will support the tunneling operations on the Ontario Line South project.

This role will be responsible for providing accurate survey data to ensure the successful alignment and construction of the tunnel, whether using the Sequential Excavation Method (SEM) or Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM).

Perform precise surveys for SEM and TBM tunneling operations, including setting out work, alignment control, and monitoring.

Accurately collect and process survey data to ensure compliance with project specifications, design requirements, and surveying standards.

Provide alignment control for the TBM, ensuring that the tunnel follows the designed path and meets all required tolerances.

Conduct quality checks on all survey data to ensure it meets project standards.

Ferrovial Construction Canada Inc. and VINCI Construction Grands Projets are undertaking the design, build, and finance the Ontario Line Southern Civil, Stations, and Tunnel (South Civil) package.

As Ontario Transit Group, we are now mobilizing our design and construction crews, with major works. The South Civil contract is anticipated to be completed in 2030.

The project will strengthen Ontario’s economy by supporting an estimated 1,500 jobs at the peak of construction.
