Requirements

3–5 years in armed law enforcement, military, or corporate security training focused on firearms, defensive tactics, and use of force.

Proven ability to develop curriculum, write lesson plans, and deliver scenario-based instruction, and strong documentation discipline.

CPR/AED/BLS Instructor within 6 months; Range Safety Officer/CSRO within 3 months; defensive tactics/use-of-force instructor preferred.

Nevada CCW or HR-218 at time of hire; ability to obtain/maintain Nevada Gaming License, Alcohol Awareness card, and Nevada driver’s license; must be 21+.

Knowledge of use-of-force standards, de-escalation, and applicable laws/regulations; proficiency with Microsoft 365; strong communication and coaching skills.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

The Armed Training Manager organizes, delivers, and documents all armed-security training for Wynn / Encore Las Vegas, including academies, firearms qualifications, defensive tactics, use of force, de-escalation, and sustainment training. This role maintains approved curriculum, records, and compliance standards; and partners across Security Operations and Learning & Development to ensure quality training and readiness. The position reports to the Sr. Manager – Armed Training and may perform additional duties as assigned by Senior Security Management.

Essential Duties

Lead armed academies and sustainment training; schedule ranges, administration tasks, classrooms, instructors, and guest speakers; maintain a rolling training calendar.

Deliver group and one-on-one instruction in firearms safety/marksmanship, defensive tactics, use of force, and de-escalation per approved lesson plans and SOPs.

Coordinate and conduct firearms qualification and remedial training; accurately maintain electronic/written training records and certification rosters.

Develop, update, and standardize lesson plans, scenarios, and policies in alignment with company standards and Learning & Development guidelines.
