Requirements
3+ years people leadership experience.
Strong understanding of software development processes, APIs, and modern documentation tools (e.g.
Experience creating infographics such as diagrams, screenshots, workflows, graphs, etc.
Experience in a product development organization.
Keen attention to detail to identify problems and processes that do not comply with protocol or standards.
Experience working with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) both in-person and remote.
Responsibilities
The team supports the design, development, preparation, and maintenance of technical content including processes, workflows, standards, operating models, user manuals, tutorials, policies, business schedules, technical documentation, etc.
Evaluating business cases for external documentation and developing a strategy and a team to support as applicable.
Ensure creation of and adherence to standardization and documentation quality standards (including consistency, branding, adherence to a style guide, etc.) by all technical writers on the team.
Define and own execution of technical writing mechanisms, including intake, prioritization, execution, and reporting processes.
Team
The Torc Technical Writing team serves all teams across Torc by writing and maintaining a variety of documentation that communicates complex information clearly, accurately, and concisely for the intended audience. The team works directly with document owners and subject matter experts (SMEs) to study the requirements and audience.
