Responsibilities

Initiates and maintains all types of safety measures and comfort care to patients as instructed/supervised by designated registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.
Provides support to patients, families and visitors in polite and ethically appropriate manner as instructed/ supervised by designated registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.
Remains knowledgeable in oxygen administration, monitor lead application and point of care testing as instructed/supervised by designated registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.
Prioritizes discharge of patients by assisting with dressing, gathering belongings and transport if necessary to lobby; removes equipment and supplies from room for environmental staff cleaning as instructed/supervised by designated registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.
Assists with admission of patients by greeting and performing initial weight measurement, vital signs, disrobing as necessary and orientation of patient to room and equipment as instructed/supervised by designated registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.
