Requirements
1–2 years of experience supporting digital content design, delivery, or learning technologies
Experience directly supporting digital accessibility in a higher education setting
Experience teaching, training, or providing end-user support to adult learners (in person and/or remotely)
Experience coordinating with third-party vendors or document remediation services.
Familiarity with ADA Title II requirements for higher education instructional materials and communications
Knowledge of instructional design principles and accessible-by-design learning practices.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with faculty, instructional designers, Digital Learning staff, and campus partners to design, review, revise, and remediate accessible course materials in Canvas and other learning platforms
Provide guidance and consultation on accessible instructional practices, including document structure, alternative text, readable tables, color contrast, keyboard navigation, captions, transcripts, and audio description
Assist with converting instructional materials into accessible formats, including Canvas pages, Word/PDF documents, slide decks, images, audio, video, and other student-facing course content
Collaborate with legal, compliance, disability resources, student services, information technology, academic leadership, and other stakeholders to promote equitable access to digital learning environments
