Hotel Financial Controller (PT)

At least five years of hotel accounting experience

Previous experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, or comparable senior accounting professional

Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, financial reporting, and balance sheet reconciliation

Demonstrated experience managing the monthly close and preparing financial statements

Experience with accounting and payroll systems such as ADP or similar platforms

Experience with hotel property-management systems; familiarity with OPERA is strongly preferred

The Financial Controller is a key, hands-on role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting and financial reporting for The Ivy Hotel, Magdalena, and the Spa.

Working closely with the General Manager, Managing Director, ownership, and department heads, the Controller ensures that financial information is accurate, timely, and useful in guiding the operation.

Oversee accounting and financial reporting for The Ivy Hotel, Magdalena, and the Spa

Manage the monthly close and prepare accurate, timely financial statements and management reports

Prepare and review monthly profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash-flow reporting, and departmental financial results

Maintain the general ledger and ensure transactions are accurately recorded, properly supported, and appropriately coded
