Requirements
2-3 years of professional experience in wire harness design, electrical systems design, or hands on harness manufacturing.
Ability to read/interpret electrical schematics and mechanical layout drawings.
Understanding of wire gauge selection, current carrying capacity, and voltage drop calculations.
Proficiency with 3D CAD software (NX, CATIA, SolidWorks, or similar) for harness design and routing.
Experience creating wiring diagrams, routing in 3D, and producing 2D drawings for production harnesses.
Experience with aerospace, defense, or spacecraft electrical systems.
Responsibilities
As a Harness Design Engineer II on the Avionics team, you will contribute to harness design and integration activities from conceptual design to system integration – including component selection, process development, qualification, and production.
By demonstrating proficiency in all phases of harness design, this interdisciplinary role offers growth opportunities and exposure to subsystem- and system-level design through collaboration with cross-disciplinary stakeholders.
