Responsibilities
Olsson offers clients a full spectrum of water and wastewater services, including a complete line of planning, design, permitting, and construction phase services. Maintaining water quality is Olsson’s number one concern, and we are able to respond to a broad set of client demands in a timely and cost-effective manner.
The Olsson Water/Wastewater team is looking for an experienced water and/or sewer modeling engineer to perform hydraulic modeling and master planning to meet the client’s needs from conception to completion. As a modeling engineer, you will perform process design calculations, create population and demand projections, assist with report writing, and attend meetings with the client.
As an Engineer for the Water/Wastewater team, other responsibilities will include providing project design utilizing CAD/modeling software, performing technical analysis, preparing construction documents, providing construction services, performing research, and writing technical reports.
You will work closely with other team members and engineers on wastewater collection and treatment projects, along with water supply, storage, treatment, and distribution.
Typical tasks you will work on include sanitary sewer piping, wastewater pump stations, wastewater treatment facilities, water piping, water supply wells, water storage tanks, and water treatment facilities.
Serves as a technical specialist, applying advanced engineering concepts and developing approaches to solve for complexities.
Team

Ability to contribute and work well on a team.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, planning, or a related field.
Understanding of water and wastewater master planning process.
Solid understanding of open channel and closed pipe hydraulics.
Experience with ArcGIS Pro mapping software.
