Requirements

Experience in financial reporting and accounting, with strong knowledge of IFRS and public company reporting requirements.

Proven experience preparing consolidated financial statements, management reporting, technical accounting research, and supporting external audits is essential.

Advanced proficiency in Workiva for financial reporting, as well as MS Office, with ERP experience as an asset.

Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, or Business Administration, a CPA designation, and has at least 7 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will work out of our Calgary corporate office and play a key role in preparing and analyzing quarterly and annual financial statements, as well as management discussion and analysis.

Reporting to the Manager of Financial Reporting, you will ensure that all reports, accounting, and documentation comply with company regulations, professional standards, and IFRS reporting guidelines.

Support the preparation of consolidated financial statements, MD&A, Board reporting materials, covenant compliance reporting, and other external reporting requirements while providing analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.

Lead the preparation and review of internal management reporting and external financial disclosures, providing insightful analysis, technical accounting support, and recommendations that improve reporting quality, efficiency, and decision-making.

Partner with finance leadership, including the VP of Finance and Controllers, to support corporate reporting, technical accounting, and strategic finance initiatives.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives by enhancing reporting automation, streamlining financial processes, leveraging technology solutions, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and data quality.
