Requirements
7-10 years of experience in an academic research environment or a non-profit organization.
Experience with budget preparation and budget justifications; ability to provide input to faculty members and proposal preparation staff on the appropriateness of budgeted items.
Responsibilities
This position is part of the Law Center’s Financial Affairs Team.
The Grants & Contracts Administrator will work closely with Principal Investigators (PIs), Program Staff, Contracts, Human Resources, Joint Office of Research Administration (JORA), and Sponsor Projects Financial Operations (SPFO) to provide analysis and management of grants and revenue generating agreements.
This involves oversight of the financial management of assigned cost centers with multi-year grants, gifts, contracts, and other funding.
This includes ensuring grant management of all awards and financial operations of the Centers & Institutes are on schedule, within the scope of work and budget, and of the utmost quality.
This person will ensure that reports are compatible with accounting practices and follow federal rules and regulations.
They will also be responsible for ensuring that the PIs within their portfolio have the necessary financial analysis and guidance to make appropriate decisions throughout the lifetime of the award.
