Responsibilities

Conduct daily on-site observations of the general progress of the work to confirm for the Owner and Engineer that the work is proceeding in accordance with the contract documents.  Any defects or deficiencies in the work shall be reported to the Owner and Engineer.  Give observations, opinions, and recommendations for corrections.

Review project schedules and consult with Owner and Engineer regarding acceptability.  Review the Contractor’s construction sequencing proposals for all construction work to be undertaken.  Assist in coordinating scheduling of project activities to minimize conflicts with Owner’s activities.

Review Contractor’s payment applications for accuracy.  Advise the Owner for payment or rejection.

May make field measurements.

May ensure conformance with applicable safety standards and regulations.

Assist in coordinating materials testing.
