Requirements
Five (5) or more years of progressive experience in fire alarm system design, consulting, or inspection.
Proficiency with REVIT, AutoCAD, or other industry design software.
NICET certification in Fire Alarm Systems preferred; NICET Level II or higher is strongly preferred.
Proficiency with ASPIRE™ software is a plus.
Experience with mass notification systems and integrated life safety solutions preferred.
Responsibilities
Design, Consulting, and Technical Oversight
Lead and execute fire alarm and/or mass notification system design from concept through construction, including system layouts, device placement, riser diagrams, sequences of operation, and calculations (battery, voltage drop, etc.).
Develop detailed, code-compliant fire alarm drawings, including shop drawings, specifications, and technical reports using REVIT, AutoCAD, and/or similar design industry tools.
Review architectural and engineering drawings to ensure life safety and fire code compliance.
Act as the owner’s representative for fire alarm systems during design, construction, and commissioning phases.
Conduct site assessments and field surveys to evaluate existing conditions and fire alarm installations.
