Comprehensive Health Benefits:

Performs breast imaging procedures including screening and diagnostic mammography, screening breast ultrasound (ABUS), (assist) stereotactic breast biopsy and breast ultrasound biopsy, and diagnostic breast ultrasound.

Follows MQSA and ACR guidelines for breast imaging.

Demonstrates knowledge of breast anatomy, pathological conditions, and safe administration of radiation.

Working knowledge of all mammography, stereotactic, and ultrasound equipment, protocols, and procedures that require the use of contrast agents, medications, and/or sterile techniques.

Ensures equipment quality is within safe limits per MQSA and ACR guidelines prior to daily use.

Identifies and reviews patient’s requisition for appropriateness of examination ordered with clinical diagnosis, and reviews all demographic information and patient history to ensure accuracy.
