Responsibilities

Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager and the direct supervision by staff pharmacists, the Pharmacy Technician assists in the preparation and filling of all medications necessary for inpatient and outpatient services.

Support all department initiatives and daily workflow by ensuring that the proper medication and tools are available for the clinical team and patients.

Prepares drug orders from Physicians for review and dispensing by a Registered Pharmacist.

Replenishes all Pyxis machines.

Monitors and record refrigerator temperatures when filling, and documents corrective action taken if needed.

Informs Pharmacy Manager of any ongoing issues.
