Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Transport Supervisor or the Director of Transport Services, performs a variety of duties, including transporting patient, medical equipment, and specimens to and from areas within the hospital as assigned.
Transports patients, specimens, equipment and related items and supplies safely and comfortably to and from areas within the hospital as assigned in a timely manner.
Greets patients, families, visitors and staff in a frien
dly courteous positive customer service manner.
Hands-off patient to a caregiver.
Verifies patient identification with patient and also by checking patient ID band.
