Requirements
Three (3) or more years of experience in construction, repair, or maintenance in an electrical, industrial, or mechanical field.
Associates degree or vocational degree in engineering, electronics, pressurized systems or other applicable field of study preferred. Or in lieu of a degree, 2 additional years of construction, repair, or maintenance experience in an electrical, industrial, or mechanical field.
Ability to travel as needed to carry out duties of the position – up to 100%
Nice to have:
Industrial gas or high-pressure systems experience highly preferred
Responsibilities
This position is responsible for commissioning, preventative maintenance troubleshooting, and repair of Plug power products including hydrogen storage infrastructure, electrolyzers, and stationary equipment at various customer sites. As such, this is a heavy travel position (up to 100%). This role requires excellent mechanical aptitude and a high degree of familiarity with industrial hydrogen systems and performance. This position also requires the ability to be on-call and to respond to urgent needs so that customer sites maintain hydrogen production around the clock. The ideal candidate should have the ability to communicate effectively among cross-functional departments with an emphasis on helping to improve electrolyzers system designs and resolve defects based upon field experience and data. This position is also critical to interface with customer stakeholders and exceed their expectations for service thereby furthering Plug Power's reputation as the leader in hydrogen fuel cell power solutions.
Travel as needed to customer sites to perform inspection, troubleshooting, repair, testing and commissioning of Plug power products including hydrogen storage infrastructure, electrolyzers, and stationary.
Execute and lead high level service repair projects on existing hydrogen infrastructure, including specialized service procedures including liquid tank repairs and vacuum jacket line repairs, etc.
Provide training to first responders, customers, and other Plug service personnel on troubleshooting, maintenance, and service of Hydrogen infrastructure.
