Veterinary Assistants at WRAH are responsible for a variety of tasks related to customer service and patient care within the veterinary practice.

In addition to veterinary technician skills such as patient restraint, administering medications, IV catheter placement, and phlebotomy, assistants in the Ophthalmology department will be responsible for the following.

Helping DVMs and Techs with specialized diagnostic procedures

Obtaining Intraocular pressures

Measuring blood pressure using Doppler

Documenting history and updates in medical records
