Requirements
Minimum of 5-7+ years of experience in global logistics, transportation management, or supply chain operations with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role.
Excellent project and change management capabilities, with experience leading cross-functional initiatives from concept to execution.
Proven experience with transportation analytics, cost modeling, working knowledge of parcel pricing structures, KPIs, zones, surcharges, and carrier services.
Deep understanding of omnichannel operations and pool distribution for B2B/B2C/DTC for the retail and apparel industry.
Strong knowledge in last-mile delivery, global/regional logistics, FTL/LTL, and vendor management.
Responsibilities
Manage and execute transportation shipping strategies with a focus on last-mile small parcel delivery and freight movement.
(e.g., UPS, FedEx, DHL, FTL/LTL).
Analyze parcel and transportation performance including service levels, transit times, zone optimization, surcharges, delivery exceptions, claims, and freight classification accuracy.
Assist with transportation contract management, including carrier negotiations support, audits, and invoice validation.
Monitor freight and parcel movement to proactively resolve service failures, delivery issues, and escalations.
Perform root cause analysis for service failures, delivery exceptions, claims, and cost variances as well as develop corrective action plans and identify opportunities for cost savings, network improvements, and process efficiencies.
