Level I: 1+ years as an ASCP

Associate of Science in a laboratory science, or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution

Nationally:\u00A0 HT (ASCP) or HTL (ASCP)

Basic understanding of laboratory techniques

works under general supervision precisely and accurately performs a variety of routine and specialized histology techniques and procedures.

will research, troubleshoot, and resolve histology related inquiries and problems within the laboratory.

This position requires the production of the highest quality of embedding, microtomy, tissue grossing, tissue processing, H&E staining, manual and automated special staining, immunohistochemistry, and equipment maintenance.

Receives tissue specimens and ensures proper accessioning and labeling of all tissue samples

Processes paperwork associated with accessioning and reporting

Performs routine and non-routine activities involved in the preparation of slides for microscopic evaluation by pathologist(s), according to established Standard Operating Procedures

Shift: Tuesday-Saturday, 2:00pm-10:30pm I (subject to change based on business needs)
