Responsibilities
The Batching Plant Operator is responsible for operating the surface batching plant, preparing grout mixtures, and pumping grout from the surface to two Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs). This position requires technical expertise in operating industrial equipment (including concrete mixers and concrete pumps), strong attention to detail, situational awareness, and the ability to work safely in pressurized environments. The Operator works closely with both TBM crews to support efficient and safe tunnel advancement.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate with the Shift Manager regarding material inventory levels and stock requirements.
Manage the unloading of materials and ensure delivery tickets are accurately logged in the system and communicated to the Shift Manager and/or Store Manager.
Operate the mixer to prepare accurate grout batches according to project specifications.
Operate the grout pump to deliver consistent and reliable grout supply to both TBMs.
