Requirements
•Bachelors of Science degree in Health Physics or Radiation Protection + 4 years related experience –or-
•Bachelor’s degree + 6 years related work experience -or-
•Associates degree in engineering technology, chemistry, radiation protection or related field + 9 years related work experience and NRRPT Certification -or-
•Navy Nuclear ELT + 9 years related work experience and NRRPT Certification -or-
•11 years related work experience and NRRPT Certification (including at least 2 years of Radiation Protection experience)
Responsibilities
The Health Physicist Sr provides operational and technical coordination of daily Radiation Protection evolutions.
Additionally, establishes and maintains programs for the effective monitoring and trending of current radiological control practices and actively participates in the development of new processes and technologies.
Develop and maintain Radiation Protection Department and Safety Services procedures
Monitor the effectiveness of the above programs and produce various trend reports
Represent Radiation Protection on the Chemical Overview Group (COG)
Act as Contract Coordinator for various Radiation Protection Contracts
