Systems Administrator I

Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical support, service desk, or similar IT role

Strong technical aptitude with proven analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, electronically, and in writing

Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong interest in technology and a desire to continuously learn, grow, and take on new challenges

Familiarity with ITIL-based service management practices

We’re looking for a Systems Administrator I to join our growing Technology team at Mercer Advisors. We are a cloud-native organization, and the ideal candidate will have experience monitoring, managing, and troubleshooting cloud-based systems, SaaS applications and general networking support.

In this role, you will act as the primary escalation point for our service desk while assisting with infrastructure, networking, automation, and migration initiatives. This role focuses on administration, support, and operational execution under established standards and escalation paths.

A selection of the key technologies currently in use includes Microsoft (Azure, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Exchange, Intune, Teams), Amazon Web Services (AWS), Cloudflare, Proofpoint, Zoom, Box Drive, NinjaOne, Nerdio, Meraki, and Mist.
