Responsibilities
The Mental Health Counselor plays a critical role as part of the Mental Health Services department. The Mental Health Counselor is responsible for providing clinical mental health services.
This includes providing clinical mental health counseling in the individual and group setting, the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies, procedures, and programs, as well as consulting with faculty, staff, and administration over mental health topics.
The Mental Health Counselor will participate in developing proactive mental health and wellness programming for the entire college population and assist with staff training as needed.
Provide individual and group mental health counseling services to the student population, including evaluation, development, and facilitation of support groups, and making referrals to external clinicians as needed.
Develop mental health programs in conjunction with the Dean of Student Services.
