ZayZoon is looking for a hands-on Engineering (Development) Manager experienced with Ruby on Rails to solve tough problems, build meaningful products, and help a talented team do the best work of their careers. You’ll partner closely with leaders across product, operations, and go-to-market teams to translate business needs into technical solutions and roadmaps, while leading your pod’s agile processes, mentoring developers, and staying close to the code. Lead a pod of developers aligned to a specific persona (e.g., employee, employer) or growth segment (e.g., ACV, LTV)

Conduct bi-weekly 1:1s, review weekly updates, resolve team issues (escalating when needed), and manage time-off planning to maintain team coverage

Run all agile ceremonies (stand-up, planning, retro, backlog refinement) and drive strong team collaboration

Partner with the PM and cross-functional stakeholders to translate product needs into scalable, secure technical solutions
