Requirements
Must be able to obtain a TWIC Card successfully.
Extensive experience with environmental compliance management in an industrial facility.
Experience in the energy or power generation industry is a plus.
Advanced knowledge or experience in air quality compliance, especially related to Title V major sources, SCAQMD RECLAIM Major Sources, and CEMS compliance with SCAQMD and the EPA is highly desirable.

Responsibilities
Lead and manage the environmental compliance program for the AES
Work closely with the environmental staff at the Huntington Beach OTC facility to ensure sitewide compliance with all applicable shared environmental permits and requirements throughout the site.
Serve as a technical expert on environmental compliance at the site and deliver effective compliance instructions, guidance, support, and training to plant personnel.
Provide environmental compliance support or leadership to various OpEx and CapEx projects across AES Southland, as needed.
Report promptly on environmental deficiencies or excursions, actively lead or assist in investigations, and offer sound mitigation and corrective action recommendations and support.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual air quality, water quality, and waste compliance reports for various regulatory agencies, including, but not limited to, the State and Regional Water Quality Control Boards, South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD), California Air Resources Board (CARB), US EPA, local Certified Unified Program Agencies (CUPA), and the California Energy Commission.
