Registered Nurse

Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario

Recent Surgical Day Care nursing experience required.

Two years of PACU nursing experience required.

Critical Care Nursing course and/or PACU course required.

Coronary Care 1 and 2 preferred.

Experience with administering IV drugs below the drip chambers, central lines, Epidural/ PCA pump, ECG machines, invasive pressure monitoring required.

Hours:

Monday to Sunday - Various rotating shifts-- Days and Evenings -- 7.5 hour shifts; 0600-1400, 0630-1430, 0700-1500, 0800-1600, 0900-1700, 1000-1800, 1100-1900, 1500-2300. On call PACU shifts scheduled  (hours subject to change based on operational requirements)

Salary:

$40.24 to $57.68 per hour

Apply all aspects of the nursing process to the care of the surgical day patient in a professional and multi-disciplinary team.

In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing care to patients in the PACU, Surgical Day Care and Pre-Admission Clinic.
