Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in English, History, American Studies, or a related field is strongly preferred.

Full-time classroom teaching experience with high school-aged students is required.

Strong organizational and classroom management skills, and the ability to joyfully teach adolescents.

Responsibilities

St. Anne’s-Belfield School seeks a dynamic, full-time Humanities teacher and advisor to join a highly collaborative department. The ideal candidate is a scholar-practitioner capable of bridging the gap between History and English, with a specific focus on our interdisciplinary American Studies curriculum.  This is a 10-month position (paid over 12 months) for the 2026-2027 school year, beginning August 1, 2026 and ending July 31, 2027.

The Academic Program

Our Humanities program is designed to evolve with the student:

Grade 9:

English and History are taught in separate classes, and the teaching team coordinates how our writing curriculum spirals through the courses.
