Requirements
Experience with identification of wildlife pathogens, related pathology and related histology, including known vectors of transmission.
Experience with maintaining a wildlife health laboratory and proper handling, and use of related scientific equipment.
Experience with development of wildlife disease response plans in the case disease were to occur.

Responsibilities
Selected candidate will oversee data collection and analysis of fish and wildlife samples; develop research studies to determine the effects of PFAS on fish and wildlife species, particularly species of concern; collaborate with universities, non-profit organizations, and state and federal agencies; conduct general surveillance; conduct literature reviews; and draft reports.
NOTE: A Doctorate in a discipline appropriate to the position may be substituted for two (2) years of experience indicated above.
NOTE: All U.S. degrees and transcripts must be from an accredited college or university. All foreign degrees and transcripts must be evaluated for accreditation by a recognized evaluation service by the closing date of this posting. Failure to provide documentation may result in ineligibility.
License
Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
