Requirements

1–3 years of experience.

A strong portfolio or GitHub profile demonstrating a solid grasp of modern web fundamentals.

Practical experience with WordPress and an interest in learning SharePoint.

Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/Illustrator) for resizing and optimizing web assets.

A baseline understanding of SEO principles and a strong commitment to AODA/web accessibility.

Exposure to PHP, MySQL or Bootstrap is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

The Assistant, Web & Intranet is an entry-level role is for an individual who will assist in the day-to-day management of Michener’s web-based platforms.

Supporting the Senior Advisor, Web, the Coordinator will ensure Michener’s websites and intranet remain functional, accessible and up to date.

Assist in the day-to-day upkeep, troubleshooting and monitoring of Michener’s websites and intranet.

Upload and format content (text, images, video) provided by the communications team, ensuring it meets brand standards and web best practices.

Assist in performing regular audits to ensure all digital content complies with AODA and WCAG standards.

Conduct ongoing link checks, image optimizations and content audits to ensure information is relevant and up-to-date.
