Requirements
Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship.
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Organizational Development, Training and Development, Instructional Design, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Comprehensive knowledge of and experience evaluating training needs and designing, developing, and implementing training solutions.
Experience applying Instructional Systems Design methodologies and needs analysis principles.
Experience working both independently and in a team environment with a broad cross section of stakeholders.
Experience using computer software and multimedia tools to design, deliver, and support training.

Responsibilities
We have an opening for a
Explosives Training Specialist
to support Department of Energy (DOE) regulatory requirements and operational needs. The program ensures personnel are trained and certified to work safely with and around explosives. You will conduct training needs analyses and design, develop, implement, evaluate and maintain courses in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts for high-risk environments. Occasional travel may be required. This position is in the Explosives Training Program within the Strategic Deterrence Directorate.
This position may offer a hybrid schedule, which includes the flexibility to work from home one or more days per week, after a probationary period. The specifics of the hybrid schedule, including the exact number of days required in the office and virtual work options, may vary based on the needs of the team and the organization.
This position will be filled at either level based on knowledge and related experience as assessed by the hiring team. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if hired at the higher level.
