Responsibilities

iCapital’s rapid expansion in the Canadian marketplace creates an opportunity for an experienced and talented tax professional to support its Canada expansion strategy in a newly created role within the Operations and Investment Product Management team.

This role, along with team members, will service all Canadian access funds for tax compliance related matters.

Support the Canada tax team with full cycle of Canadian income and indirect tax compliance by actively coordinating work with external tax service providers, fund administrator, and internal teams to drive deliverables for feeder funds structured as trusts and partnerships

Assist in monitoring investors inquiries on T3, T5013, T5008, NR4 tax slips from investors, and coordinate with external advisors to support the process of Canadian income tax and information returns, SLFI returns and US tax returns.

Assist with fund tax structuring discussion, coordinate with external tax providers and internal teams to ensure structuring material is well documented and accurately maintained.

Responsible for registration and account opening for income, sales tax and non-resident account with the CRA and Revenue Quebec for the feeder funds, maintaining the tax accounts, and handling correspondence with the revenue agencies on these matters.
