Finance Operations Specialist

2-3 years of progressive experience in finance operations or accounting, with demonstrated proficiency in one or more functions of the accounting workflow (AP, AR, reconciliations, commissions, or equivalent)

Demonstrated ability to critically evaluate financial data, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

Perform accurate and timely processing of financial transactions within the assigned function, including but not limited to commissions, client refunds, invoicing, collections, or account reconciliations, in accordance with established procedures and internal controls

Apply an understanding of relevant accounting processes to assess the accuracy and completeness of transactions, and identify anomalies before they impact downstream reporting

Escalate issues and exceptions to the Finance Operations Manager in a clear and timely manner, providing relevant context and a recommended course of action

Collaborate with internal departments to obtain, verify, and validate information required for accurate transaction processing and reporting

Adhere to established financial controls and standard operating procedures; contribute to the identification and documentation of process improvements as opportunities arise

Maintain consistent service delivery in line with defined SLAs and communicate proactively when deadlines or volumes are at risk
