Responsibilities

Hants Community Hospital is seeking locum hospitalist physicians during a period of active recruitment.

Travel expenses, including kilometrage, per diems, accommodations (up to $300 per night), and airfare (up to $1,500), are reimbursed, along with travel time up to 10 hours per week.

About the Company

Hants Community Hospital (HCH) in Windsor Nova Scotia has 26 inpatient beds and 14 transitional-care beds with plans for further acute care expansion. The facility offers many outpatient services, outreach programs, and medical diagnostics and also has an extensive same-day surgical program, including: General surgery, Urology, Otolaryngology and Orthopedics. Outpatient clinics include, Pain clinic, Palliative Care, Internal Medicine, General Pediatrics, Mental Health, Hematology, Gynecology and General Surgery. Cardiac testing with EKG, Stress testing and Holter Monitoring as well Respirology testing with spirometry are available.

General Internal Medicine may in certain cases be available for inpatient consults, along with Respiratory therapy, Social Work, SLP/Dietician (swallowing assessments), Pharmacy, Palliative Care, Continuing Care, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy.
