Requirements
High school graduate or G.E.D. equivalent required
BLS - Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association required
Responsibilities
Transports patients to their inpatient beds and/or to other areas such as surgery, therapy, or radiology in a safe and timely manner.
Maintains and cleans equipment.
Complies with established PPE requirements necessary for protection against exposure to blood and other potentially infectious body fluids, chemical disinfectants, radiation, and other hazardous substances.
Abides by all Infection Control Policies i.e.
Hand Hygiene, Equipment Decontamination.
Transport of patient: includes lifting and moving patient, movement to designation with appropriate equipment.
