Requirements

The minimum level of education and experience for this position includes:

Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience in a healthcare setting and or five years’ experience working in the management of a Facilities Engineering Department.

Responsibilities

Assists with the development of operating and capital budgets and ensures proper utilization of available resources to complete work in a timely manner with a focus on quality, safety and fiscal stewardship.

Provide guidance for frontline leadership and indirect oversight of staff orientation, competency assessment, skills training, and performance improvement.

Monitor contracts for compliance and cost controls costs; monitor general expenditures; perform quality control inspections to ensure adherence to contract specifications.

Establish effective means of communication with staff, peers, and all key stakeholders.

Assist in all phases of renovations as needed to include scheduling, cost monitoring, and code compliance.

Develops or assists with the development and implementation of policies and procedures consistent with those of the organization to ensure efficient and safe operation of the department.
