Requirements
Current student pursuing a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Political Science, Marketing, Graphic Design or a related field.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Instagram).
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Interest in public relations, government affairs and the mining industry.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities
Mesabi Metallics is seeking a Corporate Communications and Public Relations Intern to support both the Corporate Communications and Government Affairs teams this summer. This position offers hands-on experience in corporate communications, public relations and government affairs, with a key focus on building brand identity and awareness as the company works towards the commercial operations of its project in summer 2026. As an intern, you will gain valuable insights into the fields of corporate communications and public relations, the mining industry and regional economic development while contributing to the growth of Mesabi Metallics’ brand presence and public engagement efforts.
