Minimum 3 years in public accounting or a corporate accounting environment with demonstrable expertise in ASC 606 revenue recognition or contract accounting
Solid foundation in GAAP and comfort with balance sheet accounting (AR, deferred revenue, accruals)
Advanced Excel proficiency and familiarity with AI tools
Hands-on experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, or similar enterprise systems; comfort learning new tools quickly
Track record of spotting inefficiencies and recommending process improvements
Experience in SaaS revenue recognition (subscriptions, multi-year contracts, usage-based billing)
Responsibilities
Revenue & Contract Accounting
Evaluate customer contracts and collaborate with Sales to ensure Salesforce opportunities map accurately to company revenue recognition policy and ASC 606 requirements
Prepare and maintain contract deferred revenue schedules, as well as commission accounting and performance obligation tracking
Record revenue-related journal entries and resolve revenue recognition inquiries from internal stakeholders
Build financial analysis and support materials for revenue audits and accounting reviews
