Responsibilities
Provide department leadership to employees within the department focusing on company goals and measures; developing department goals and measures; and maintaining monthly performance scorecard.
Review for quality and accuracy of designs (gas & electric) and work with design personnel and field employees to resolve issues identified. Verify all needed material is selected; ensure appropriate standards are followed; manage backlog of work; initiate work orders; ensure IDOT, railroad, county, and foreign utility permits are observed.
Ensure standards and qualifications are adhered to consistently; ensure billing policies are followed and correct billing is entered into DOJM; understand and apply the Illinois System Extension or Modification Policy consistently for all customers; and initiate System Extension Guarantee Agreement contracts to customers.
Review and approve the quality of electronic mapping, data quality monitoring for connectivity in support of outage systems. Provide technical support to mapping personnel responsible for mapping activities in GIS system.
Provide support for storm assessment efforts, organize field checker assignments, dispatch field checkers, update outage orders in OAS, and communicate with storm center.
Provide computer system support for GIS system users, coordinate GIS training, and support GIS application development and testing.
