Responsibilities
Provide all guests with a home-like environment for the duration of their stay in PATH Interim Housing.
Promote and follow interim housing established values, guidelines, and rules.
Assist all volunteers by providing all necessary supports to ensure that they have a valuable experience.
Ensure that guests' meals are served at the established times and support other kitchen staff as required.
Cook large quantities of food with staggered cooking, heating, baking, etc.
Prepare food and beverages according to standardized recipes, production sheets, and menus.

Since its foundation in 1984, PATH (People Assisting the Homeless) has pioneered bold and effective approaches to assist people experiencing homelessness. PATH operates services throughout California, connecting our clients to a comprehensive continuum of homelessness prevention, street outreach, employment preparation and placement assistance, individualized case management, supportive services, interim housing, and permanent supportive housing.
Our Culinary Services Team is a critical to the success of our interim housing sites. By providing three meals and snacks and refreshments throughout the day, the kitchen and its staff are a key component to creating a welcoming, home-like environment for our guests as they work to obtain and sustain permanent housing.
The Cook position is an integral component of PATH Interim Housing, The Cook helps create a welcoming, homelike environment and nutritious meals for our guests. They work alongside a team of kitchen and case management staff to ensure that all PATH Interim Housing guests receive three meals each day and snacks/refreshments throughout the day as needed.
