Requirements
Professional experience in one or more areas of diagnostic clinical biochemistry and/or related areas such as endocrinology and/or toxicology.
Previous experience in the development, design, coordination, and delivery of undergraduate units in clinical biochemistry at the tertiary level.
An established or developing track record of research outputs in clinical biochemistry and/or related fields.
An ability to teach into another area of Laboratory Medicine, such as clinical immunology, clinical haematology, or related fields.

Responsibilities
They will normally undertake administration primarily relating to their activities at the institution and may be required to perform the full academic responsibilities of and related administration for the coordination of an award program of the institution
They will normally play a major role or provide a significant degree of leadership in scholarly, research and/or professional activities relevant to the profession, discipline and/or community and may be required to perform the full academic responsibilities of and related administration for the coordination of a large award program or a number of smaller award programs of the institution.
Development, delivery, assessment, review, and coordination of clinical biochemistry units in the Bachelor of Laboratory Medicine, namely BMS323 Clinical Biochemistry 1 and BMS423 Clinical Biochemistry 2, and to other related teaching activities in BMS102 Introduction to Medical Laboratory Science, BIO247 Biochemistry, and as required by the School.
Developing and growing a research program in clinical biochemistry and/or related fields that complement the research activities of the School and University.
Developing strong industry linkages with the local diagnostic pathology sector to enhance teaching experiences for students and/or grow research partnerships and collaborations.
Contributing to the activities of professional bodies to enhance the Bachelor of Laboratory Medicine.
