Requirements

You are excited to join a team working to introduce Nova Scotia’s first electric school bus and contribute to meaningful, community-driven climate and health solutions.

The Energy Coordinator will work to support and expand EAC’s transportation and grid electrification work, ensuring strong connections to diverse energy sector actors and linking energy policy and action to EAC’s campaigns.

A proactive approach to funding and grant writing initiatives to support the advancement of electric transportation

Relationships with African-Nova Scotian and Mi’kmaq communities

Responsibilities

Work with partners across Atlantic Canada to develop a Vehicle to Everything (V2X—a bidirectional technology that allows electric vehicles or EVs to consume and provide power) network for conversations regarding the bleeding edge technology and implementation across Atlantic Canada.

Give regular presentations regarding incorporating V2X technology in school bus electrification adoption.

Promoting local infrastructure growth to promote the benefits of municipal Medium and Heavy Duty Electric Vehicles (MHDV) and supporting confidence in provincial investment.

Co-facilitating the electric school bus operators working group.

Working with the EAC Transportation team and with municipalities on their MHDV electrification initiatives

Promotion and distribution of the EAC’s Electric School Bus children’s book
