Senior Software Engineer, DevOps

10+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on infrastructure or DevOps, specifically deploying and managing containers.

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a similar field.

Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and stateful applications, persistent storage, and node pool isolation in Kubernetes.

Track record of owning and optimizing CI/CD pipelines and managing infrastructure via Makefiles and manifests.

Practical knowledge of secrets management and security best practices within a cloud-native environment.

Experience participating in on-call rotations and participating in blameless postmortems.

The Global Monitoring Service (GMS) App Team is hiring for a Senior Software Engineer to ensure fast, secure, and reliable releases through the team’s DevOps capabilities. The GMS App Team is responsible for providing a customized application for Defense & Intelligence customers from around the world. This application provides daily, near-real time monitoring and analytic insights on customer-defined sites built atop Planet’s satellite data.

This is a full-time, remote position based in either Germany, the Netherlands or Slovenia. If located near an office, you are expected to work from that office 3 days per week.
