Outpatient Pharmacy Technician I

Ability to work with devices, information systems, automated and technical equipment utilized in pharmacy.

Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area.

Knowledge of Medical terminology and abbreviations.

Knowledge of methods and procedures involved in proper handling and storing of pharmaceutical supplies.

Pay Range

Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role.

Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities, as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

Typically, new team members join at the minimum to mid salary range.

Minimum to Midpoint Range (Hourly): $38.91 to $43.63

Demonstrates a basic understanding of the responsibilities regarding medication and pharmacy operations.

Must perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the hospital's policies and procedures, including its Service Standards and its Code of Conduct.

Performs non-sterile compounding of hazardous and non-hazardous drugs.

Submits billing information to third-party payor for claim adjudication.

Orders supplies and checks for shortages, rotates stock, and removes expired medications.

Accurately prepares medications for pharmacist to verify.
