Requirements

Commercially minded data leader

– You have a strong quantitative background and 3+ years of experience in Data Science or Analytics, ideally in an online company. You’re comfortable owning complex projects and influencing stakeholders with clear, pragmatic recommendations focused on commercial impact and value.

Advanced technical skills

– You're highly proficient in SQL and experienced in writing code to transform data into insights, whether in Python, R, or another language. You can handle large datasets, optimize data pipelines, and work with tools like Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI, and data transformation tools like dbt or Dataform.

Deep statistical expertise

– You have a strong grasp of statistics and apply advanced techniques like regression analysis, causal inference, time series modeling, and hypothesis testing to extract meaningful insights and drive impact.

Responsibilities

Own analytics for a commercial area

– At Catawiki, you’ll take full ownership of a major part of the commercial strategy. This could mean leading analytics for all demand scaling initiatives in marketing or everything related to increasing supply in a given category. You’ll build strong partnerships with stakeholders and proactively come up with recommendations to drive revenue growth.

Turn data into insights and recommendations

– You’ll go beyond tracking metrics—you’ll define and refine key success measures, uncover trends, and translate data into clear recommendations. Your insights will help shape commercial decisions, flag opportunities, and drive the strategy forward.

Drive advanced analytics at scale

– You’ll use methods like regression analysis, causal inference, and scenario testing to understand buyer and seller needs and help commercial teams make faster, better decisions to scale demand and supply.
