Field Operations Manager

4+ years of experience in Field Operations, Technical Enablement, Customer Success, or Systems Engineering, with a specific focus on building and scaling operational systems.

2+ years of experience leading or managing teams (this role transitions from a hands-on IC builder to a team lead).

Proven track record of operationalizing informal or ad-hoc processes into repeatable, scalable operating models.

Strong proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation, data routing, and operational tooling.

Experience supporting production software deployed into mission-critical, disconnected, or hybrid environments.

Working understanding of networking, cloud infrastructure, infrastructure-as-code, monitoring, and operational reliability.

The Field Operations Manager owns the operational systems that make Field Engineering deployable, repeatable, and scalable.

This is a builder role; you will start as an Individual Contributor (IC) with extended team support, responsible for defining the operational models and discipline.

Over time, you will build and lead a team to perform these functions.

You will partner closely with Field Engineering, Mission Operations, Product, Engineering, Security, BD, and leadership to ensure every field engagement has the right people, equipment, information, and operating cadence to succeed.
