Safety Associate Virtual, Per Diem, Days, 7a - 7:30p, Nursing Service Administration

Patient Rights - Knowledge of principles and practices associated with the rights and responsibilities of patients and caregivers.

Life Support - Knowledge of the process taken to restore and maintain essential physiological functions, and the ability to apply these processes in a patient care situation.

Completion of Patient/Sitter Companion Program, and/or De-Escalation class

BLS - Basic Life Support AHA - American Heart Association

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills and the ability to de-escalate patients who are agitated in a way that preserves patient dignity required.

Previous experience in the clinical setting preferred.

With a commitment to patient and family centered care, the Safety Associate works collaboratively with the health care team to provide remote and at times direct supportive care for patients who require additional monitoring or assistance.

Promotes quality patient care, comfort, and a safe environment under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

Recognizes the patients, their family/designated care partner(s) in providing safe, compassionate and coordinated care based on respect for patient's personal preferences, priorities, needs, and cultural beliefs and values.

Communicates with and supports the interprofessional team, patient, family and designated care partners.

Provides observation for safety of assigned patient.

Reports observations of changes in patient condition or behavior to appropriate staff.
