North Point Technology is hiring a senior Linux Administrator SME to support enterprise MLS configurations across mission-critical environments, including the Centralized Supercomputing Facility (CSCF) and other high-impact programs. This role is ideal for a deep Linux security expert who can own SELinux and MLS policy implementation, automate administration at scale, and strengthen secure platform operations across complex environments.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, AIS, or related field
10+ years of relevant professional experience
At least 5 years of experience developing or supporting system software in heterogeneous, multi-platform environments
Deep expertise in SELinux and MLS administration, including policy configuration, MAC labeling, security contexts, policy debugging, MLS FreeIPA, MLS Ethernet interface networking, and least-access policy development
Responsibilities
Administer and harden Linux systems supporting enterprise MLS environments across HPC and other mission-focused programs. Lead SELinux and MLS configuration efforts, including policy development, MAC labeling, security contexts, least-privilege access controls, FreeIPA integration, and MLS network interface configuration. Troubleshoot complex Linux and kernel-level issues using source code analysis, system logs, and low-level diagnostic tools. Manage patching and system lifecycle activities, including Satellite repository administration and custom kernel builds to support functionality and security requirements. Automate system configuration, maintenance, and patching with Ansible and Satellite Server. Support identity and access management integrations, including LDAP and token-based authentication, and partner with engineering and support teams to improve security, stability, and operational consistency across critical Linux environments.
