Requirements
At least 8 years of experience in a relevant corporate position regulatory or government agency or consultancy on any country within CARCAMs financial system, payments, banking and or technology issues.
Combination of political and business acumen.
Experience managing direct reports.
Leads by example and able to generate respect and loyalty with a strong commitment to collaboration.

Central America and the Caribbeans CARCAM government affairs team supports the ongoing growth of the companys business by proactively engaging with a wide range of stakeholders to promote Visas capabilities and contributions to public policy agendas and economic growth protect the business through shaping the policy environment to minimize regulatory risk inform internal and external clients on regulatory developments and partner with governments on their digital payments priorities including on government as client opportunities in tandem with other internal teams.
The executive will report to the head of government affairs for Latin America and the Caribbean and work closely with a wide range of in country and regional functional teams.
It is highly preferred that the executive has experience working on Central American and Caribbean financial sector issues, particularly in the payments or the banking arena, from either the private or the public sector.
The main objectives of the position are to develop and implement a proactive agenda to ensure the CARCAMs public policy priorities are aligned with industry and corporate objectives to grow financial inclusion and digital payments adoption, as well as to increase national and sub national governments participation in the digital payments space.
